Garden

The Salisbury Hotel is unique in that it must be one of the very few boutique hotels in Edinburgh with magnificent walled gardens for you to enjoy.   Most rooms have wonderful, quiet garden views which provides the Salisbury with an air of tranquility - unique in a busy, cosmopolity city such as Edinburgh.

The gardens can be accessed from the Lounge Bar and Gabbro and are perfect for Al Fresco dining or a relaxing drink after a busy day exploring the City attractions.

The gardens are divided by a large wall, providing space for adults and children alike. Children can enjoy a small climbing area or a good run around the open space to expend their extra energy and adults can just enjoy a relaxing space!

The apple, pear and plum trees provide wonderful fruit for seasonal compotes and puddings in the restaurant and you can delight in the subtle aroma of the Gabbro herb garden.

Look out for the bat boxes and bird tables and ‘wild’ garden with it’s little rock pool - all aimed to encourage wildlife and protect endangered species.

A selection of scottish heathers and flora and fauna can be spotted throughout to ensure you enjoy the opportunity to experience the beautiful plants native to Scotland whilst staying at the Hotel.
