ROOMS:

The Salisbury has 18 stylishly designed rooms, most with unique period features and all with ensuite bathrooms.  Each room is finished to the highest standards with flat screen televisions, wireless broadband connection, i-pod docking, ironing facilities, salon hairdrier and digital tv.  Most rooms benefit from views to the beautiful walled gardens and working window shutters and some have marble fireplaces, full height windows and fabulous wood paneling. 

Each ensuite bathroom benefits from power-showers, Gilchrist & Soames toiletries and warm, fluffy white towels.  The suites and family rooms all have baths whilst the superior doubles feature walk-in wetroom showers.

The highest service standards combined with the comfort, subtlety and discretion today’s discerning traveler expects, all delivered in a relaxed and friendly style.

The Salisbury Hotel offers some of the best hotel rooms in Edinburgh – each of our luxury rooms have been restored to the highest standards with a blend of period features and contemporary décor.

The hotel has many garden view rooms, each is unique and all are sunny, bright and spacious.

All Rooms feature a LCD flatscreen television, en-suite facilities, room service, and some feature walk-in wetroom showers.  All bedrooms have 6’ wide king or 5’ wide queen sized beds, ironing facilities, wireless broadband internet access, i-pod docking stations, luxurious fabrics and crisp white linen.

Hotel suites are also available, from Junior Suites to Four-Poster, all featuring very generously proportioned room sizes, super kingsize beds, floor to ceiling windows, mini-fridges and ensuite bath and shower facilities.

BREAKFAST 

A hearty breakfast can be enjoyed with a choice of fresh juices, fruit compotes, fruit salads, cereals and homemade granola, pastries & healthy homemade loaves and yoghurts.  Cheese and meats are available and vary from week to week. 

An extensive selection from the kitchen is available, made to order, using fresh and organic produce where possible:

Full Scottish Grill: bacon, sausage, haggis, eggs, beans, potato scone

French Toast with crispy pancetta or sausages

Hearty omelette with fresh sauteed mushrooms

Buttermilk pancakes with fresh strawberries and maple syrup

Hearty organic scottish porridge with heather honey and cream

Smoked undyed haddock, lightly poached with grilled tomatoes

GABBRO BISTRO

The bistro is open Tuesday - Saturday for dinner 6-9pm and for Lunch from Thursday - Sunday 12-2pm.

A varied and seasonal menu is always available with specials on the blackboard.   Children are made especially welcome with crayons, colouring books and a specially designed menu - all items are homemade by the chefs.   A good selection of well-priced wines, beers and other drinks are available together with an excellent selection of fine malt whiskies or champagnes for that special occasion.
